BORN HULL 1890. SON OF JAMES LUCY, OF 75 NORTH STREET, HULL. A HAWKER & PEDDLER. HE WORKED IN BRIDLINGTON (1911 CENSUS) AND LIVED IN SUNDERLAND. WAS SENT TO WAKEFIELD PRISON ON 06/09/1909. ALSO TO HULL PRISON, ON 18/11/1914. HE HAD BEEN CONVICTED FOR BEING DRUNK TEN TIMES, OBSTRUCTION, COMMON ASSAULT AND ASSAULT ON THE POLICE.

HE ENLISTED AT SEAHAM HARBOUR. SERVED AS PRIVATE, 31756, 4TH DURHAM LIGHT INFANTRY. HE DIED AT HOME, ON 25/04/1916, AGED 26. HE IS BURIED AT SOUTH SHIELDS (HARTON) CEMETERY, DURHAM.
