Malone, James

Born Manchester, 1884. Only son of Henrietta Malone, of 34, Whelen Street, Manchester. He had two sisters, Rebecca and Lily. His extended family lived in Blackburn, Lancashire.

He married on 16 Jun 1909, at the  Register Office Haslingden. Husband of Daisey Malone, of 6 Florence Avenue, Middleton Street, Hull (Army Address) and 78, Canning Street, Hull (War Pension address). They had two daughters, May and Lily. A Foreman Printer. Described as 5 foot, 8″ tall, 34-36 ” chest, 116 lbs weight,

He enlisted in Hull, on 4th October 1916. Posted to France, on 23/01/1917. Served with the 7th East Yorkshire Regiment. Killed in action, on 12/05/1917, aged 33. Commemorated on the Arras Memorial, France.
