Kim Semmence writes on 29/10/2015: I am part of a group researching the names on the St Charles War Memorial.
The GW Mawe who is on the St Charles board appears to have survived the war but to have died in Hull in 1925 (source BMD index and National Probate Calendar. He married a Kathleen Sweeney in 1924, the same year his brother Austen married Dora Sweeney. Pte 11125 GW Mawe of Hull served in the East Yorks Regiment.
