Husband of Sarah Jane McKenzie, of 65, Queens Road, Hull (War Pension address). They had four children, Charles, Stanley, Ivy and Olivia. He was a Foundry Manager, working at Avon Dale Chapeltown near Sheffield (1911 census).
Served as a Sapper in the Royal Engineers. Discharged on 7 Jul 1919. Died of shell shock, on 3 Aug 1922, aged 47.
