Born Bridlington, 1890. Son of Harry and Ellen Sophia Miles, of Bridlington. He had four sisters.
Married at Bridlington, in 1911. Husband of Abigail Elizabeth Edmond of 91, Welbeck Street, Hull (war Pension address). They had one daughter, Phyllis, born 3rd October, 1911. He worked as a Boot Repairer.
He enlisted in Hull. Served with the 1/4th East Yorkshire regiment. Died of Tuberculosis and Pneumonia, on 01/10/1918, aged 28.
His army effects were left to his widow, Abigail.
