Enlisted in Hull. Served with the 1th EYR in Egypt and France. Transferred to the 1/4th East Yorkshire regiment. Died on wounds, on 02/03/1918, aged 22. Buried at Nine Elms Cemetery, Belgium.
His army effects were left to Miss Emily A. Pettman.
