BORN HULL 07/11/1878. ELDEST SON OF GEORGE WILLIAM MONDAY (1851-1902) & FANNY ELIZABETH AUCKLAND, WHO LIVED AT 50 EAST CHEAP, HULL. EDUCATED AT COLLIER STREET SCHOOL, HULL. HE ENLISTED INTO THE ROYAL HORSE ARTILLERY ON 23/03/1908 & WAS PROMOTED TO FARRIER SERGEANT, IN AUGUST 1912. TOM WENT TO THE FRONT ON 18/04/1915 & SERVED WITH THE ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY NORTHUMBRIAN BRIGADE. HE WAS WAS KILLED AT YPRES, ON 24/05/1915, AGED 38. WHERE HE IS BURIED. HE MARRIED SUSANNA HARDWICK (1878-1953), FROM HALIFAX, AT ST STEPHENS’ CHURCH, HULL,ON THE 23/03/1908. HE LEFT A WIDOW AND TEN CHILDREN AT THIS ADDRESS.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 21/06/1915 & IN THE UK, DE RUVIGNEY ROLL OF HONOUR, VOLUME 1, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH. HIS PHOTO WAS PRINTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 24TH JUNE 1915. *
