Born Hull, 1896. Son of Matilda Moody, of 1, Pleasant Place, Marvel Street, Hull (War pension address). He had two brothers and two sisters.
He enlisted in Hull. Served with the 5th Border Regiment. Killed in action, on 23/04/1917, aged 21.
His army effects were left to his mother, Matilda.
His elder brother, George Henry Moody, served in the East Yorkshire Regiment. His younger brother, John James Moody, served in the Royal Navy, and was discharged on 03/08/1921, aged 20.
