Moore, Edward Jospeh

Born Lambeth. London 1882. Married at Hull, on 27 Jul 1915. Husband of Christina (Chrissie) Parker Moore, at 153, Belvoir Street, Princes Avenue, Hull (War Pension address). They had one daughter, Marjorie Evelyn Moore, born 22 December 1915. A time expired soldier in the 2nd Leicestershire Regiment. He worked as a Marine Engine Driver. Described as 5 foot, 8 inches tall, 147 lbs weight, 41-43.5 inch chest, brown eyes, dark brown hair, Church of England religion.

Enlisted in the Hull on the 19 September 1914. Served as Sergeant in the Hull Railway Pals – the 17th Northumberland Fusiliers. Posted to France, on 28 June 1916. Received gun shot wounds to the knee and left arm. Discharged as unfit on 12 October 1916. Served for 2 years and 24 days. Awarded the Silver War Badge (N0: 40310). Died at Hull in July 1929, aged 46.
