HE ENLISTED AT CHESTERFIELD, ON 11/12/1915. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 8.5 INCHES TALL, 38 INCH CHEST, 147 LBS WEIGHT AND ROMAN CATHOLIC. POSTED TO FRANCE ON 13/03/1917. SERVED WITH THE 10TH SHERWOOD FORESTERS. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 12/08/1918, AGED 24.
