Born Eastrington, Yorkshire, 1890. Only son of Charles Henry Mountain Ruth Mathilda Guy, of 27, Carlton Street, Hull (CWGC & War pension address). Son of a railway signalman. He had one sister, Ethel. Worked as a Shop Assistant (1911 Census).
He enlisted in Hull. Formerly 22468, East Yorkshire Regiment. Transferred to the 2nd King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. Killed in action, on 23/11/1917, aged 27. He is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.
