Born Liverpool, 1877. Son of William and Mary Murray, of 7, Emma’s Terrace, Nornabell Street, Hull (1901 Census address). His father was from Belfast. His mother, from Kirkham, Lancashire. The family moved to Hull, where his father was a Highways Contractor. Thomas was employed as an Iron and Tin worker.
He enlisted in Hull. Served with the 1/4th EYR. Killed in action at Ypres, on 14/07/1916. Commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial to the missing.
His army effects were left to his siblings, John, James Christina, Mary Ann.
