ENLISTED IN THE 1ST HULL PALS (HULL COMMERCIALS). SERVED WITH THE 10TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT, IN EGYPT AND FRANCE. LEFT FOR OVERSEAS SERVICE, ON 22/12/1915. HE WAS KILLED IN ACTION, AT SERRE, ON 13/11/1916, AGED 25. HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE THIEPVAL MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.

HE LEFT A WIDOW, OLIVE, AT 16, HILL STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). THEY HAD NO CHILDREN.
HIS BROTHER, VALENTINE PERCY NASBY, 1/4TH EYR, DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 17/06/1916, AGED 21.

HIS OTHER BROTHERS, CHARLES WILLIAM NASBY, AND ALBERT NASBY, MOVED TO CANADA.
