BORN HAGGESTON, MIDDLESEX, 1894.  LIVED IN HULL. ELDEST SON OF CHARLES J & BEATRICE M NASH, OF 25 BOWES TERRACE, ARUNDEL STREET, HULL AND 77 ARUNDEL STREET, HULL.

HE ENLISTED BEVERLEY. SERVING AS A SERGENAT N THE 1ST EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. HE WAS KILLED ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE BATTLE OF THE SOMME, ON 01/07/1916, AGED 22. HE HAD BEEN WOUNDED BEFORE AND HAD JUST RETURNED FROM HOME LEAVE BEFORE HE WAS KILLED.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 4TH OCTOBER 1916, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH.*
