Born East Halton, Lincolnshire, 1897. Only son of the late Albert John Nicholson (1868-1907) and Emily Pearson (1870-1904). He was raised by his grandparents, Thomas and Charlotte Booner Kendall, at East Halton Grimsby Lincs. He had one elder sister, Moretta.
He enlisted in Hull. Served with the 1/4th East Yorkshire regiment. Died of wounds, on 24/06/1916, aged 18.
