FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 15358, EAST LANCASHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED TO THE 13TH LIVERPOOL REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 04/07/1917. UNMARRIED. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER, JENNIE.

HE IS BURIED AT RED CROSS CORNER CEMETERY, BEUGNY, PAS DE CALAIS, FRANCE.

HIS BROTHER, ANDREW NORTON, WAS LOST ON THE TRAWLER, “SHAKESPEARE”, ON 07/02/1917, AGED 37.
