Padley, George

Born Hull, on 5 August 1882. Son of George Padley (1842-1906) and Hannah Mosford (1846-1912), of 12, Mabel’s Avenue, Frankin Street, Holderness Road, Hull (1911 Census). He had one brothers and six sisters. He worked as a Boiler Maker.

Married at St Charles Borromeo Church, Hull on 20 October 1907, aged 25. Husband of Sabina Cain Padley (1885-1958), of 12, Jarvis Street, The Groves, Hull (War Pension address). They had three sons (George, Tim and William) and three daughters (Catherine, Mary and Jane).

Enlisted in Hull on, 5/8/1914. Served in the 1/4th East Yorkshire Regiment. Discharged, on 28/9/1917. Awarded the Silver War Badge (No:399664). Died of Bronchitis, on 09/03/1921, aged 38.

Buried at Hull Hedon Road Cemetery, Hull (Grave No 56).
