BORN HULL 12/05/1889. ELDEST SON OF GEORGE PARKER (1868-1944) AND MINNIE DAY (1870-1922), OF 35, HALFIELD ROAD, YORK. LIVED IN YORK. HE HAD FIVE BROTHERS AND THREE SISTERS. WORKED AS A CHOCHOLATE MOULDER.

HE MARRIED MAY BUCKLEY, AT YORK, ON 28/10/1911. THEY LIVED AT 27, TABER STREET, HALLFIELD ROAD, YORK (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). THEY HAD TWO CHILDREN.

HE ENLISTED YORK. POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 15/04/1915. SERVED AS AN ACTIVE SERGEANT IN THE 1/5TH WEST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KIED IN ACTION, ON 25/04/1918, AGED 28. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, MAY.

HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE TYNE COT MEMORIAL, BELGIUM.

HIS BROTHER, ROBERT ARTHUR PARKER, SERVED IN THE MANCHESTER REGIMENT.
