ENLISTED HULL, ON 16/12/1915. POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 04/07/1916, WITH GEORGE CECIL KIRBY, FROM THE SAME VILLAGE. SERVED IN THE 7TH EAST YORKSHIRES. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 12/05/1917, AGED 29.
