BORN NOTTINGHAM 1895. SON OF JOHN WILLIAM PARSONS & MARY ELIZABETH EBBUTT, OF 70, CANNING STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS) & 90, ADELAIDE STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION & ARMY RECORDS ADDRESS). ONE OF TWO CHILDREN. HIS ONLY BROTHER JOHN WILLIAM SERVED IN MESOPOTANIA.

A FORMER BLUNDELL’S PAINTER APPRENTICE. ALBERT ENLISTED BEFORE THE WAR ON 08/05/1912. SENT TO FRANCE ON 17/04/1915. SERVED WITH THE 2ND WEST RIDING REGMENT. HE WAS WOUNDED TWICE AND TAKEN PRISONER ON 03/05/1917. RETURNED HOME ON 15/12/1918. DISCHARGED ON 26/03/1919 WITH TUBERCULOSIS OF THE LUNGS AND GUNSHOT WOUNDS TO THE LEGS. HE DIED A WEEK LATER ON 03/04/1919 AND WAS BURIED IN HULL WESTERN CEMETERY, AGED 24.
