MARRIED AT HULL, ON 21/12/1907, AGED 21. HIS WIFE LILLY WINTER (1885-1965), DAUGHTERS IVY & SARAH JANE, & SON FRED, LIVED AT 2 VIRGO TERRACE, WESTMORELAND STREET, HULL WAR PENSION ADDRESS). A LABOURER & DEAL CARRIER. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 6 INCHES TALL, 39-41.5 INCH CHEST, 156 LBS WEIGHT, SCAR ON RIGHT CHEEK.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 12/12/1915. CALLED UP FOR SERVICE, ON 08/05/1917. JOINED AS PRIVATE, 48535, NORTH STAFFORDSHIRE REGIIMENT. TRAINED AT WALLSEND. ARRIVED IN FRANCE, ON 29/10/1917. TRANSFERRED AS, PRIVATE, 51778, 15TH CHESHIRE REGIMENT, ON 05/11/1917. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 24/03/1918, AGED 31.

HIS BROTHER GEORGE E PATRICK ALSO SERVED IN THE WAR AND DIED IN HULL IN NOVEMBER 1920, AGED 38.
