Born Hull 28 Jul 1893. Fourth son of Arthur and Harriet Pearce, of 15, Hudson Street, Hull (1911 Census). He had four brothers.
A single man living at 15, Hudson Street, Beverley Road Hull (War Pension address). Worked as a general Labourer before war began.
Served in the 12th East Yorkshire Regiment, Machine Gun Corps, Northumberland Fusiliers. Wounded – Gun shot wounds to the Head. Transferred to the Labour Corps. Discharged on 3 Apr 1919.
Committed to the Hull City Mental Hospital Willerby, Near Hull (1921 & 1939 Census). Never recovered from WW1 and died there in July 1980, aged 89.
