Peckett, George Robert

Born Patrington, 1898. Son of Robert and Rose Peckitt, of Park Road, Sproatley, and New Loge, Park Road, Burton Constable, Hull (CWGC address). Son of a Police Constable. He had two brothers and four sisters. Worked as a Horseman. Described as 5 foot, 8 inches tall, 124 lbs weight, 33-35 inch chest, fair physical development, Church of England religion.

He enlisted in Hull, on 18th Jane 1916. Called up on 3rd June 1916. Formerly 24634, East Yorks Regt. Posted to France, on 3rd December 1916. Transferred to the 22nd Durham Light Infantry. Killed in action, on 04/03/1917, aged 19. Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France.

His army effects were left to his mother, Rose.
