BORN BEVERLEY 1892. SECOND SON OF RICHARD PERKINS (1861-1930) & MAY ELIZABETH BRAITHWAITE (1867-1961), OF 2 ORMONDE VILLAS, WYNBURG STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). BEFORE THE WAR HE WORKED FOR FENTON & TOOLEY IRON FOUNDERS, LINCOLN STREET, HULL. HE HAD THREE BROTHERS AND ONE SISTER. RESIDED AT 32 SOUTHCOATES AVENUE, HULL.

HE ENLISTED IN THE 6TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT, AT THE START OF THE WAR. LEFT ENGLAND FOR THE DARDENELLES, ON 14/07/1915. HE WAS REPORTED MISSING AND THEN KILLED IN ACTION, ON 09/08/1915, AGED 22 .

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON THE 8TH AUGUST 1916. *

HIS BROTHER, DRIVER, RICHARD NORMAN PERKINS, ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY, SERVED IN FRANCE AND WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 30/09/1916.
