ENLISTED KNARESBOROUGH. SERVED AS A DRUMMER IN THE 1ST WEST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT (1911 CENSUS). KILLED IN ACTION, ON 29/10/1914, AGED 32.

HE LEFT A WIDOW MARIA, AND CHILD AT 24 MICHAEL STREET, HULL. HIS NAME IS ON THE WALKER STREET MEMORIAL. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL TIMES, ON 19/12/1914. *

HE IS LISTED AS KILLED ON HULL’S, ENGLISH STREET ROLL OF HONOUR (Hull Daily Mail 23 September 1916).
