POSTED TO FRANCE, WITH THE BRITISH EXPEDITIONARY FORCE, ON 0N 08/09/1914. KILLED ON THE MARNE, ON 20/09/1914, AGED 20. HIS DEATH AND PHOTOGRAPH WERE PRINTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON THE 14TH MAY 1915. * HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER, WALTON QUAID.

“Beverley Soldier Missing. Mr W. Quaid of 98 Keldgate, Beverley, has been notified by the War Office that his son, Pte. C. E.
