Born Gorleston, Norfolk, 29 May 1884. Son of James William Redman and Eliza Ann Redman.
He married Emma Jackson, at Hull, in 1912. Husband of Emma, at 15, Ann’s Building New Michael Street, Hull (war pension address). They had two children.
Enlisted East Ham, Essex. posted to France, on 20/05/1915. Served in the 1st & 2nd Rifle Brigade. Died of wounds, on 24/02/1917, aged 31. His army effects were left to his widow, Emma.
