BORN HULL 1899. SON OF GEORGE & SARAH REED, OF, 4, WOODBINE TERRACE, NEWLAND AVENUE, HULL (WAAR PENSION ADDRESS).

FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 8TH EYR ‘C’ COMPANY. ONE OF SIX SONS WHO SERVED. THEY ARE ALL PHOTOGRAPHED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON THE 15TH DECEMBER 1915. * JOHN ENLISTED AT THE AGE OF 15 AND DIED OF TUBERCULOSIS, AFTER THE WAR, AGED 22.

BURIED AT HULL NORTHERN CEMETERY. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, “WEEP NOT FOR ME THE CHANGE IS GREAT SEEK BUT THE LORD AND WE SHALL MEET”
