BORN SUTTON 1895, ONLY SON OF WILLIAM AND MARY ELIZABETH RICHARDSON, OF 5, REEDS STREET, HULL AND 42, MARGARET STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). HIS FATHER DIED IN 1905 AND HE LIVED WITH FIVE SISTERS AT 5 REEDS STREET, SCULCOATES, HULL. BEFORE THE WAR HE WORKED FOR MR HISCOCK, GROCERS, AT HUMBER STREET, HULL.

HE ENLISTED IN THE HULL PALS. SERVED WITH THE 13TH EAST YORKSHIRES IN EGYPT AND FRANCE. HE WAS KILLED WHILE ACTING AS A STRETCHER BEARER, ON 13/11/1916, AGED 21. HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE CLOWES CHAPEL, ROLL OF HONOUR, JARRATT STREET.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 31/07/1917.
