Richardson, Frederick

Born  Hull, 1885. Son of Thomas William Richardson and Annie Elizabeth Richardson, of 2, York Terrace, Hodgson St. He had an elder brother, Thomas and four sisters.

Married at St Mary’s, Hull on 14/10/1905. Husband of Jane Elizabeth Robinson, of 5, Wawne Terrace, Hodgson Street, Hull (Army address) 11, Paradise Place, Myton Street, Hull (war pension address). He had five children, Fred, John, Annie Elizabeth, Gladys and Charles. He worked as a Horseman and Labourer. Described as 5 foot, 6.5 inches tall, 35-37 inch chest, scar on back of his neck.

He enlisted at Beverley on 4/7/1916. Served in the artillery and transferred to the 475th Labour Corps. Died at Reckitt’s Hospital, Hull, of Bronchitis contracted on active service, following Influenza, on 13/12/1918, aged 32. He had served in the army for 1 year and 164 days.  His widow was awarded a weekly war pension of 33 shillings and nine pence, on 3rd July 1919.

His brother, Thomas William Richardson served in the East Yorkshire Regiment and Labour Corps, during the war,
