SERVED WITH THE 13TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT IN EGYPT, AND ARRIVED IN FRANCE, ON 08/03/1916. HE DIED OF WOUNDS, 18/07/1916, AGED 29. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT 5 INCHES TALL. 141 LBS WEIGHT, 34 INCH CHEST, A SLIGHT SPEECH IMPEDIMENT. HE HAD SERVED FOR ONE YEAR AND 234 DAYS. HIS YOUNGER BROTHER, PRIVATE, EDWARD ANTHONY ROBERTS,11105, 7TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT, HAD DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 02/12/1915, AGED 21. BOTH BROTHERS ARE COMMEMORATED ON THE WAR MEMORIAL AT ST CHARLES BORREMEO CATHOLIC CHURCH, HULL
