Robinson, Cecil Beaumont

Born Kennington, Surrey, 1884. Son of Alfred Ernest Robinson (1854-1909) and Alice Maud Poletti. He resided with his Grandparents at Spring Head House, Easingwold. He lived in Humbleton and worked as a Bank Clerk.

He served as Lieutenant, in the West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales’s Own), 13th Bn. attd. 9th Battalions. Killed on the Somme, 14/09/1916, aged 32. He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing. he left £602 in his will to Catherine Maria Robinson (Spinster)

His name is recorded on the Humbleton WW1 Memorial plaque, in in St Peter’s Church, Humbleton (47 men served and six died from Humbleton village)
