BORN HULL 1892. SON OF FREDERICK ROBINSON & HARRIET LOUISA SISSON, OF 44, ALBERT AVENUE, HULL, (CWGC ADDRESS) AND 7, WESTBOURNE GROVE, HESSLE (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). BROTHERS, LAWRENCE AND WALTER. SISTERS GERTRUDE AND KATHLEEN. HIS FATHER WAS A FORMAN AT A WHITING WORKS.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS A DRIVER IN THE 529TH ROYAL ENGINEERS. KILLED IN ACTION ON 28TH MARCH 1918, AGED 26. BURIED IN FRANCE.

HE WAS UNMARRIED AND HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER HARRIET.

HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON THE HESSLE ROLL OF HONOUR, ALL SAINTS PARISH CHURCH. ALSO ON THE EAST RIDING ROYAL ENGINEER’S MEMORIAL, AT HULL MINSTER.

HE IS BURIED AT BELLACOURT MILITARY CEMETERY, RIVIERE, PAS DE CALAIS, FRANCE. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, “TOO DEARLY LOVED EVER TO BE FORGOTTEN”.

HIS BROTHER SERVED AS PRIVATE, WALTER ROBINSON, 64649, NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS.
