BORN HULL 19/09/1895. SECOND SON OF LEVI RUDKIN (1873-1943) & CHARLOTTE RUDKIN (1876-1941), OF 12 CHURCH LANE, MARKET PLACE, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS) & 10, LONGDEN STREET, WALTON STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). SECOND OF SIX CHILDREN. A BLACKSMITH STRIKER (1911 CENSUS).

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. FORMERLY GUNNER, IN THE 129TH HULL HEAVY BATTERY. TRANSFERRED AS GUNNER, 290122, ROYAL GARRISON ARTILLERY, 281ST SIEGE BATTERY. HE DIED OF WOUNDS, AT 1ST LONDON HOSPITAL, CAMBERWELL, ON 19/10/1918, AGED 23.

HE IS BURIED AT HULL’S HEDON ROAD CEMETERY. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, “AT REST”.

UNMARRIED. HE LEFT SIBLINGS, ALFRED, OLIVE, JOHN, MARTHA, JOSEPH, DAVID FRANCIS (KNOWN AS FRANK) AND CLARICE MAY (KNOWN AS CLARE). HIS SISTER OLIVE ALSO DIED IN 1918.
HIS WAR PENSION WAS LEFT  TO HIS MOTHER CHARLOTTE, WHO MOVED TO 10 LONGDEN STREET, WALTON STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).
