HE ENLISTED AT LINCOLN. SERVED AS, PRIVATE, 7392, 20291, 242488,  LINCOLN YEOMANRY. TRANSFERRED TO THE 5TH LINCOLNSHIRE REGIMENT. DIED OF WOUNDS, 21/06/1917, AGED 20.

HE WAS UNMARRIED AND HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE GIVEN TO HIS HALF BROTHER, ROBERT PEOPLES, AND HALF SISTER, MARY ANN BROWN.
