Born Hull 04/01/1898. Son of George sanders (1859-1924) and Annie Marchant (1861-1942), of 8, Sydney Grove, Tyne Street, Hessle Road, Hull (CWGC address). He had seven brothers and two sisters.
Enlisted Hull. Served in the 1/4th East Yorkshire Regiment. Killed on 23/04/1917, aged 19. Commemorated on the Arras Memorial, France.
His brother, Lance Corporal, George Sanders (1889-1916), 11th EYR, was killed on 01/07/1916, aged 26.
