POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 07/05/1916. SERVED WITH THE 13TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 10/08/1916, OPPOSITE LA BASSEE. HE HAD SERVED JUST 200 DAYS IN THE ARMY AND 96 DAYS AT THE FRONT
