BORN HULL 1894. SON OF ABRAHAM & ANNIE SCOTT, OF 22, WILDE STREET, DANSOM LANE, HULL (1911 CENSUS) AND 24, LAKE STREET, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS). ONE OF SEVEN CHILDREN. EMPLOYED AS A BUTCHER.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS A SERGEANT, IN THE 13TH YORKSHIRE HUSSARS. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 13/04/1918, AGED 24. HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE PLOEGSTEERT MEMORIAL, HAINAUT, BELGIUM. HE LEFT A WIFE AND TWO CHILDREN AT 12 BRIGHTON TERRACE, CUMBERLAND STREET, HULL. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH ON 3RD MAY 1918. *

HIS BROTHER, SERGEANT LLEWELLYN SCOTT, 11TH EAST YORKSHIRE PALS, WAS KILLED ON 29/03/1918, AGED 28, AND LEFT A WIDOW AT 3 HESSLE AVENUE, DANSOM LANE, HULL. THEIR DEATHS WERE REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 15/05/1918. *
