Scudder, Kenneth Bolton

BORN CANNING TOWN, ESSEX, 10/08/1895. SON OF JOHN SCUDDER (1870-1936) AND ETHEL BOLTON, OF 2 BEEHIVE COTTAGE, BRENTWOOD ROAD, HORNCHURCH, ESSEX.

HE ENLISTED AT CARDIFF, WHERE HE WORKED AS A COAL COLLIER. SERVED AS A PRIVATE, IN THE 2ND WELSH REGIMENT. SOLDIER DIED RECORDS STATE THAT HE LIVED IN HULL & HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE WILMINGTON ROLL OF HONOUR AS KILLED.
HE WAS KILLED AT THE BATTLE OF LOOS, ON 26/09/1915, AGED 20. HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE LOOS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER, JOHN. HIS FATHER WAS A RULLY MAN AND BOARDED WITH THE TYLER FAMILY AT 3 MAXWELL TERRACE, MAXWELL STREET , HULL (1911 CENSUS)
