BORN HULL 1880. SON OF WILLIAM SEDMAN (1839-1895) AND ANNE SCOTT (1843-1886). HE HAD TWO BROTHERS AND TWO SISTERS.

A MILL HAND (1911 CENSUS) AND FORMER RECKITT’S WORKER.

HIS WIFE, MRS JANE SEDMAN & TWO CHILDREN, ANNIE (BORN 17/07/1910) AND WILLIAM (BORN 20/07/1914), LIVED AT 10, MAYE GROVE, DANSOM LANE AND 5, THE GROVE, LABURNUM AVENUE, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).

HE ENLISTED HULL. SERVED WITH THE 7TH EYR. KILLED IN ACTION, AT ARRAS, ON 13/04/1917, AGED 38. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 5TH MAY 1917, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH. * “CHEERFUL, HE ALWAYS DID HIS BEST”

HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE ARRAS MEMEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
