HE HAD SIX BROTHERS AND TWO SISTERS. LIVED AT THE RAILWAY COTTAGES, NORTH FERRIBY. HE ENLISTED AT SELBY. SERVED WITH THE 4TH YORKSHIRE HUSSARS. KILLED IN ACTION ON 12/04/1918, AGED 18. HE IS BURIED AT CROIX-DU-BAC BRITISH CEMETERY, STEENWERCK, NORD, FRANCE.

HIS BROTHER, PRIVATE, 12/1512, ROBERT SERGEANT, 12TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT, WAS KILLED AT SERRE, ON 13/11/1916, AGED 27. HE LIVED AT 20 BACHELOR STREET, HULL.

HIS BROTHER, DRIVER, 761248, EDWIN SERGEANT, ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY, WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 23/03/1918, AGED  35. HE WAS A FORMER RULLYMAN AND LIVED AT 2 ST ANDREWS AVENUE, MARK STREET, HULL.
