BORN KEYINGHAM, YORKSHIRE 27/05/1885. SON OF HERBERT SEYMOUR (1858-1938) AND REBECCA USHER (1854-1918), OF KEYINGHAM. HIS FATHER WAS A FARM LABOURER. HE HAD THREE SISTERS AND TWO BROTHERS.

HE MARRIED AT HOWDEN, 1910. HUSBAND OF BLANCHE HILDA BECKETT (1887-1973), OF 66. BEECH AVENUE, GARDEN VILLAGE, HULL.

A RECKITTS, BLUE WORKS LABOURER (1911 CENSUS) AND LATER EMPLOYED AT THE BRITISH OIL AND CAKE MILLS.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL ON 30/08/1914. SERVED IN THE 1ST EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT, MACHINE GUN SECTION. HE HAD BEEN BEEN WOUNDED TWICE BEFORE. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 22/02/1917, AGED 31.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 16/03/1917. HE LEFT A WIDOW AND DAUGHTER.

HIS BROTHER, THOMAS ARTHUR SEYMOUR SERVED WITH THE ROYAL TANK CORPS DURING THE WAR.
