HE ENLISTED AT HULL, ON 12/06/1917. SERVED ON HOME FRONT, WITH THE 5TH TRAINING BATTALION, ROYAL ARMY MEDICAL CORPS. DISCHARGED ON 10/05/1918. DIED OF TUBERCULOSIS, ON 03/08/1918, AGED 39, AFTER 333 DAYS SERVICE. NO CWGC RECORDS.

HE WAS NOT AWARDED A SILVER WAR BADGE, BECAUSE HE DID NOT NOT SERVE OVERSEAS AND WAS UNDER 41 YEARS OF AGE.
