A FORMER SOLDIER AND LABOURER. HE HAD FOUR BROTHERS AND TWO SISTER. HE ENLISTED AS “A1” SOLDIER, ON 01/07/1909. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 7 INCHES TALL, 114 LBS WEIGHT, 33 INCH CHEST SIZE, WOUNDED IN 1915. HE ALSO CONTRACTED MALARIA IN SALONIKA ON 27/09/1916. TRANSFERRED AS PRIVATE, 330610, LABOUR CORPS. DISCHARGED ON 12/03/1919. (50% DISABILITY). DIED  AT HOME, ON 24/03/1921. (WAR PENSION LEDGER).
