Born York, 1885. Son of John Sheridan, of 8 Melrose Avenue, Wyndham Street, Hull and at 3 Anvills Terrace, Spring Street, Hull.
He enlisted at Hull. Served in the 2nd East Yorkshire Regiment. Missing for three weeks. He was presumed killed in action, on 23/04/1915, aged 30. He was reported missing in the Hull Daily Mail, on 21/05/1915. *
He is Commemorated at Ypres Menin Gate memorial. His army effects were left to his father John and his mother at 3 Anvills Terrace, Spring Street, Hull (Pension Ledger Address)
