Borm Brandesburton, 1886. Son of John James and Hannah Shipley. Resided a Hull. Worked as a Waggoner on Sutton Farm. Enlisted Beverley. Formerly 2641, Yorkshire Regiment, Posted to the 4Th Bn. Royal Fusiliers. Served as Private, 229074, 1st (City of London) Battalion (Royal Fusiliers). Killed in action, on 19/09/1918, aged 32. His army effects were left to his mother, Hannah. He is commemorated on the Brandesburton WW1 Memorial which contains seven names.
He is buried at Flesquieres, Departement du Nord, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France.
