HIS ARMY MEDICAL RECORDS DESCRIBE HIM AS 5 FOOT 3 INCHES TALL, 137 LBS, 35 INCH CHEST, BROWN HAIR GREY EYES AND FRESH COMPLEXION.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 12/10/1914. JOINED AS DRIVER, 40731, 15TH DIVISION, RFA. DISCHARGED ON MEDICAL GROUNDS (WEAK HEART) AFTER 60 DAYS ON 10/12/1914. HE RE-ENLISTED INTO THE ROYAL ARMY MEDICAL CORPS. DIED 12/06/1921 AND BURIED AT HEDON ROAD, CEMETERY, HULL. THE CWGC RECORDS RECORD THAT HE WAS 46 YEARS OLD WHEN HE DIED.
