Born Hull, 1878. Son of John R & Jane S Silvey, of Hull.
Married at Hull, in 1900. Husband of Florence Annie Cooper, of 4, Kent Street, Hull (1911 Census) and 3, York Avenue, St Mark Street, Hull (War Pension address). His wife was thirteen years younger. They had three sons and a daughter. He was a Black Lead Mill Hand
Served in the 12th East Yorkshire Regiment (Hull Pals), in Egypt and France. Discharged on 29 Mar 1919. Died of Head wounds and Tuberculosis of the Lungs, on 9 Nov 1924, aged 46.
He left £188 in his will to his widow at 3, York Avenue, St Mark Street, Hull (Probate Address).
