BORN HULL 1887. SON OF WILLIAM & LATE MARY SKELTON, OF 6 SHORT STREET, SPENCER STREET, HULL AND 1 MELROSE STREET, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS).  THIRD OF FIVE SONS. ALBERT WORKED AS AN OIL MILL MOULDER AND LIVED AT 12 RIPON TERRACE, KENT STREET, HULL (1911  CENSUS), LIVING WITH HIS TWO YOUNGER BROTHERS, WILLIAM AND HARRY SKELTON. HE ENLISTED IN HULL AS PRIVATE, ALBERT SKELTON, 25654, AND SERVED IN “B” COMPANY, 7TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. HE WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 08/06/1918, AGED 31. HE WAS LIVING AT 1 MELROSE STREET, HULL, AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH. HE IS BURIED AT AUCHONVILLERS MILITARY CEMETERY, SOMME, FRANCE
