HE SERVED IN THE 1ST EAST RIDING YEOMANRY, DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 04/08/1921. HE IS BURIED AT ST NICHOLAS CHURCH, WITHERNSEA.

Enlisted at Docaster with the Imperial Yeomanry on 6/1/1902 aged 24, and served with the 28th Rgt. (129 Squadron), being discharged a year later. Rejoined 5/8/1915; discharged to class Z reserve 24/10/1918 (classed as 100% disabled); died 4/8/1921, at home – 120 Queen’s St, Withernsea – of pulmonary TB; son of Joshua & Julia Smith
